Motor/Actuator Driver ICs

ROHM Semiconductor Motor/Actuator Drivers ICs support different motor types, including Brushed DC, Brushless DC, and Stepper motors. These qualified automotive ICs are geared toward various applications, including power windows, sunroofs, wipers, and seat belt tensioners. Features include built-in overcurrent protection, overcurrent detection, charge pump, and thermal shut-down. These automotive motor actuator drivers are AEC-Q100 qualified.

Automotive Gate Drivers

ROHM Semiconductor Automotive Gate Drivers are designed using a unique microfabrication process to build an on-chip coreless transformer. This technology results in compact, robust, and reliable isolated gate drivers that are optimized for use with SiC (Silicon Carbide) power MOSFETs, providing an optimized solution for power circuit designs in industrial and automotive applications. These devices feature a built-in active Miller clamp function to prevent parasitic turn-on effects. Integrated under-voltage lock-out (UVLO) protection reduces external component count and aids compliance with the requirements of industrial and automotive applications for augmented safety (e.g., in Automotive ASIL-level B/C/D or Industrial SIL2/3/4).

BM61x Gate Drivers

ROHM Semiconductor BM61x Gate Drivers provide 1-channel galvanic isolation with 3750Vrms isolation voltage and 65ns i/o delay time. These gate drivers feature active Miller clamp function and Under-Voltage Lockout Function (UVLF). The BM61x gate drivers operate at -40°C to +125°C temperature range and 4.5V to 5.5V input-side supply voltage range. These gate drivers function at 4A output current, +150°C maximum junction temperature, and 60ns minimum input pulse width. ROHM Semiconductor BM61x gate drivers are ideal for driving SiC MOSFETs.
