EMI Noise Suppression

Noise suppression has become an important issue, especially regarding electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). There are many types of problematic noise emitted from devices installed in vehicles. Murata specifically examined noise that is radiated from the USB signal cables. Murata used measures to suppress noise in signal lines and in power lines and present the following examples and test data.

WE-CMB Common Mode Power Line Inductors (Chokes)

Würth Elektronik WE-CMB Common Mode Power Line Inductors (Chokes) feature a compact design that delivers high suppression of asymmetric interferences, even at low-frequency ranges. In addition, these inductors provide broadband screening due to a low capacitance winding technique. Würth Elektronik WE-CMB Common Mode, Power Line Inductors, are ideal for power electronics and suppressing common-mode noises. Parasitics can have a significant effect on the noise attenuation and current rating of a common mode filter. Würth designed the WE-CMB series for minimal parasitic effects over its useful frequency bandwidth so it does what it is designed to do - get rid of the noise.

Automotive Noise / EMI Suppression Filters

Murata Electronics Automotive Noise / EMI Suppression Filters offer components for noise suppression from various approaches, such as small-sized EMI suppression filters and AC line filters that effectively suppress noise. Also among these components are ferrite cores and microwave absorbers, which suppress noise even after the set is completed. Murata offers ESD protection devices that protect semiconductors from static electricity entering from outside.
