Soft Termination MLCCs for High Reliability

TAIYO YUDEN Soft Termination Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors, designed for high-reliability grade applications, are AEC-Q200 qualified (for automotive systems) and offer improved resistance to bending. Conductive resin suppresses cracking, which can occur from stress deflection of the substrate, temperature cycling, and thermal shock. High noise absorption characteristics are enabled by low equivalent series resistance (ESR). TAIYO YUDEN Soft termination MLCCs provide high permissible ripple current values, small case sizes with high rated voltage, and high insulation resistance and breakdown voltage for reliability.

MLCCs for Telecommunication Equipment

TAIYO YUDEN MLCCs for Telecommunication Equipment include high dielectric type MBAS, high-frequency low-loss MBAR, soft-termination MBJC, and low ESL MBRL capacitors. The MBAS series offers a 0.01pF to 100µF capacitance range, a 630VDC maximum voltage rating, and various dielectric options. MBAR MLCCs offer high-frequency and low loss and are available in various packages, including 0402, 0603, and 0805. Soft-termination MBJC capacitors offer a 1000pF to 47µF capacitance range, 6.3VDC to 630VDC voltage range, and X7R and X7S dielectric options. The MBRL series consists of LW reversal decoupling low ESL capacitors available with X5R, X6S, X7R, and X7S dielectric options. These TAIYO YUDEN capacitors are suitable for various telecommunication applications, including base stations, optical transceivers, and uninterruptible power supplies.

Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors

TAIYO YUDEN Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors are designed utilizing innovative materials and thinning sheet technologies. This material technology enables process control at the particle level, increasing the number of layers needed to realize higher capacity while reducing size. The thickness of each layer in the multilayer ceramic capacitor family is only 0.6μm at the slimmest point, and the number of layers reaches 1000 at maximum. These MLCCs are aimed at high-performance digital devices such as smartphones, tablet PCs, TVs, power supplies, general digital circuits, DC/DC converters, AEC-Q200-compliant MLCCs, and automotive applications.
