MP8004 Power Switch IC

MPS MP8004 Power Switch IC is an integrated solution of IEEE 802.3af power over ethernet (PoE) Powered Device (PD). MP8004 IC includes a PD interface and a flyback converter with an internal power switch. The PD interface includes detection and classification modes as well as 100V output pass device. The DC-DC converter includes a 150V power switch to deliver 13W PoE power with high efficiency. Other features include programmable switching frequency, duty cycle limiting, overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, and over-temperature protection. Applications include VoIP telephones, small cell base stations, safety backup power, security camera systems, and wireless access points.
