Littelfuse GDTs are designed to dissipate large amounts of energy and are ideal for lightning surge protection. GDTs are widely applied to outdoor telecommunications equipment. These Littelfuse devices are available in leaded and surface-mount configurations.

GTCA28-x-R03 High Voltage Series GDTs

Littelfuse GTCA28-x-R03 High Voltage Series GDTs (ceramic gas discharge tubes) are commonly used to help protect high voltage circuits. They offer a high level of surge protection, low capacitance, and a broad array of break over voltage levels, making them suitable for applications such as branch circuits, medical electronics, and surge protection on power lines. With such features, Littelfuse GTCA28-x-R03 High Voltage Series GDTs can help equipment meet the most stringent regulatory standards.

Industrial Communication & Control

Littelfuse Industrial Communication and Control provides protection for RS-485 and Ethernet applications. The Industrial RS-485 features the capability of driving multiple ports, a fast speed rating of 10Mbps, and long-distance transmission of 1500m. The TVS Diode Arrays and SM712 series are specifically designed to protect RS-485 applications from ESD, EFT, and lightning-induced surges. When lightning occurs, the SIDACtor will react by causing voltage to increase across PPTC until GDT fires.
