494 Series Surface Mount Fuses

Littelfuse 494 Series Surface Mount Fuses (SMF) are fast-acting, ultra-small, and thin film devices designed for secondary protection of circuits. These fuses are completely lead-free and meet the RoHS directive requirements. These 494 series fuses are made of high-performance materials to exhibit improved performance in extreme ambient temperature applications. The 494 series fuses feature a flat top surface for pick-and-place operations and are marked with codes to identify ampere rating without testing. These 494 series surface mount fuses are designed to be low profile for height-sensitive applications. The 494 series fuses are built with alloy-based elements to provide superior inrush withstand characteristics and element-covering material to resist industry cleaning operations. These 494 series fuses are used in secondary protection for space-constrained applications like cell phones, digital cameras, hard disks and DVD drives, and battery packs.
