DIO70040 Power Distribution Switch ICs

DIOO Microcircuits DIO70040 Power Distribution Switch ICs are designed for applications requiring precision current limiting or heavy capacitive loads and short circuits. These power switch ICs operate within the 2.7V to 5.5V input voltage range and offer 57mΩ on-resistance. The DIO70040 power switch ICs come with five different current limit versions, including 500mA/1A/1.5A/2A/2.5A. This device limits the output current under a safe level by using a constant current mode when the output load exceeds the current limit threshold. The power switch rising and falling times are controlled to minimize current surges when turning on/off. The DIO70040 power switch is available in the SOT23-5, SOIC-8, EP-MSOP8, and MSOP-8 packages. These power distribution switch ICs are used in USB ports/hubs, digital TVs, set-top boxes, and VOIP phones.
